JOHN “JACK” J. QUIGLEY, age 83, of Abington, MD, died on May 6, 2006 at his home. Born in St. Claire, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas and Rose Brahony Quigley. He was the husband of the late Patricia A. Quigley. He retired after 42 years of service with the Pennsylvania Railroad as a train director. He was a member of the Union of Railroad Telegraphers. He was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and a member of the Resurrection choir of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Trenton, NJ, where he also served as a lector and Eucharistic minister. His family said that he liked Irish music and literature, and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies.
Mr. Quigley is survived by one son, John T. Quigley of Morrisville, PA; four daughters, Rose J. Pollis of Abingdon, MD, Mary A. DellaRossa of Wrightstown, NJ, Patricia A. Mulligan of Raleigh, NC and Susan M. Barletta of Bear, DE; one brother, Frank X. Quigley of Bensalem, PA; one sister, Marguerite Fry of Chester Springs, PA; and 8 grandchildren, Christine Pollis of Columbia, MD, Michael Pollis of Lancaster, PA, Kathleen Pollis and Daniel Pollis, both of Abingdon, MD, John Barletta and Megan Barletta, both of Wilmington, DE, Frank DellaRossa of Absecon, NJ and Laura Mulligan of Raleigh, NC.
