John J. Collins Jr

John J. Collins Jr., age 73, of Churchville, MD, died on January 26, 2010 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Washington, DC, he was the son of Inez Laberta Perry Harris of Edgewood, MD, and the late John Jerome Collins. A veteran of the U.S. Marines, he retired from Peach Bottom Nuclear Power Plant where he was a foreman. He enjoyed the outdoors, doing yardwork, football, spending time with Ruth and her family, and walking his mom's dog, Jake.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his stepbrother, Steven Harris of Forest Hill, MD; sister, Sheryl Ann Williams of Lorton, VA; companion, Ruth Dunlap; stepfather, Robert James Harris of Edgewood, MD; nephew and niece, Ryan and Rachel Harris, both of Forest Hill, MD.
