JOHN J. BYRNES, age 70, of Aberdeen, died in Harford Memorial Hospital on January 24, 2005. Born in New York, New York, he was the son of the late John Byrnes and the late Mary Cecelia Keneally Galiazzo. He had retired from Bethlehem Steel where he was a supervisor. He loved horses and loved to shoot skeet, work on crafts, play Santa Claus, and shop at the Klein’s store in Aberdeen.
Mr. Byrnes is survived by his wife of 36 years, whom he married in 1969, Betty Lee Heiser Byrnes; two sons, Gary N. Byrnes of New Park, Pennsylvania and Robert L. Byrnes of Aberdeen; two daughters, Vicki L. Moorman of Perry Hall and Staci A. Forosisky of Salisbury; one foster son, John M. Smith of Bowleys Quarters; two brothers, Michael Galiazzo of Sparks and Joseph Galiazzo of Cockeysville; two sisters, Maureen Arvig of Forest Hill and Mary Jane Ghiz of Baltimore; nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He is also survived by three other daughters. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one grandson, Gary Lee Byrnes.
