John H. Brown

John H. Brown, age 72, of Delta, Pennsylvania passed away on May 30, 2021 at his home. Born in Tazewell, Virginia, he was the son of Robert Brown Sr. and Hazel (Matthews) Brown. He worked for Tharpe and Green Feed Mill for over 30 years and retired from Dixie Construction in 2016 where he worked as a truck driver for 15 years. He was a member of Fawn Grove Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses and enjoyed reading the Bible, fishing, hunting, watching football, golf and bowling. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

John is survived by his wife of 41 years, Judy Brown; daughter, Cindy (Tyshawn Bice) Brown of Wolcott, NY; sons, John (Kristen) Brown of Delta, PA and David (April) Brown of Joppa; grandchildren, Zachary T. Beavers, Gavin A. Brown, Tarissa S. Mayo, Trillion N. Mayo, Dannielle R. Brown, Grace O. Brown, Austin R. Hash and Skylyn M. Brown; great-grandchildren, Jay & Rajalyn Brown and Tahj'mere Spinner; brothers, Clyde Brown, Sr., Robert Brown, Jr., and Joseph Brown; and sister, Mary Matthews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, John Travis Brown, brother, George Brown and sisters, Mildred Ham and Lillian Brown.

Visitation will be held under the caring guidance of the family owned and operated McComas Funeral Home, Abingdon, Maryland on Saturday, June 5, 2021, from 11 am – 2 pm with a service to follow at 2 pm.
