John E. Schenning

JOHN E. SCHENNING, age 82, of Bel Air, MD, died on August 20, 2007 at his home. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Henry and Barbara Anna Vasole Schenning. A member of the Farm Bureau, he was voted Farmer of the Year in 1996 and retired after 40 years as a dairy farmer at Strawberry Hill Farm. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #4714 in Bel Air, Maryland Holstein Association, National Holstein Association, and the Aberdeen Rotary. He was also a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and was an avid golfer.

Mr. Schenning is survived by his wife of 62 years, as of May 20, 2007, Helen E. Schenning of Bel Air, MD; one son, John L. Schenning of Bel Air, MD; five daughters, Christine E. Iten of Bel Air, MD, Veronica E. Martin of Street, MD, Joan F. Hepp of Ontario, Canada, Patricia A. Magness of White Hall, MD, and Theresa A. Gluch of Houston, TX; one sister, Elizabeth Lowe of Randallstown, MD; eleven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
