JOHN E. KOCH, age 80, of Joppa, died in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on December 17, 2003. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late John Henry and Mildred M. Bell Koch. He had retired after 20 years of service with the Continental Can Company where he worked as a lithographer. He was a lifetime and active member of the Joppa Magnolia Fire Company. He had been inducted into the Hall of Fame for Harford Cecil Firemen’s Association.
Mr. Koch is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mildred V. Taylor Koch; two sons, Robert J. Koch of Joppa; David E. Koch of Joppa; two brothers, Bernard Koch of Baltimore; Harry Koch of Springfield, Ohio; three sisters, Evelyn Shindledecker of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania; Doris Wade of Eldersburg, Maryland; and Mildred Yeager of Gardner, Pennsylvania.
Pallbearers will be: Bill Lay, Lou Jonske, Johnny Byrne, Tony Balcer, Gary Skillman, and John Bullock.
