John E. Goodman

John Edward Goodman, son of the late Lois Phillips and the late Layton Goodman, passed away on April 19, 2015. He was found in the comfort of his home. John was a truly devoted and loving husband of the late Bonnie Goodman; a proud and loving father to Natalie Goodman, Rebecca G. Dorsey and Layton E. Goodman; and a loving grandfather to Claudia Goodman, Emilie Entwistle, Audrey Goodman and Layton G. Goodman.

John was a graduate of Overlea High School and after some time at college he joined the Navy. He served his country as a medical corpsman during the Vietnam War. He went on to have a very full life with his wife and children, sharing with them his love of nature. In his later years he found great joy in his grandchildren and supporting his fellow veterans through donations to the Wounded Warrior Project and also sending his support to the families and children of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. John is also survived by his daughter-in-law Lori Goodman; his sons-in-law Greg Dorsey and James Entwistle and his other daughter Karen Putnam and his other granddaughter Paige Keys-Putnam. John will be greatly missed by his entire family.
