John Cromwell Sr.

JOHN CROMWELL SR., age 82, of Abingdon, MD, died on October 20, 2007 at Citizens Care Center in Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Trenton, NJ, he was the son of the late Matthew and Marion Cromwell. Formerly of Catonsville, he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII, and later in the Reserves during the Korean War. After 42 years as a Senior Chief, John retired from the Naval Reserves with a formal ceremony aboard the USS Constellation. He also retired from the Social Security Administration where he was a Stationary Engineer.

Mr. Cromwell is survived by his wife, Eva Sue Cromwell of Abingdon, MD; two sons, John Cromwell Jr. of Catonsville, MD and Ronald Cromwell of Eldersburg, MD; one daughter, Audrey M. Coogle of Delta, PA; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and also, several step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a third son, Donald Cromwell.

Pallbearers will be Greg Fonzi, Nick Sisselberger, Donney Bowling, Gene Plank Sr., Gene Plank Jr., and Justin Plank.
