JOHN CONRAD TAYLOR, age 68, of Rosedale, MD, died on June 1, 2006 at his home.
Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late John Edward and Leona Marie Kness Taylor.
He was a delivery driver at the beginning and end of his working life, and a retail salesperson and manager who worked for Montgomery Wards from 1968 until 1993. He was also a collectables dealer specializing chiefly in breweriana for 30 years from 1971 until 2001. He was an avid Ravens and Orioles fan. His family said that he was a career football fan who enjoyed all hometown football teams from the old Baltimore Colts in the mid 50s until the Ravens today. They said that his greatest gift was his wit, that was natural and often unexpected, and it cheered people up.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Schreiber Taylor of Baldwin, MD; three sons, John Steven Taylor of Columbia, MD, James Allan Taylor of Baldwin, MD and Jason Christopher Taylor of Towson, MD; two sisters, Edith “Penny” Ireland and Geraldine Schwarz, both of Bel Air, MD; and three grandchildren, Zachary James Taylor, Allison Lyn Taylor and Jamie Elizabeth Taylor, all of Baldwin, MD.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Doris Barnes.
