John C. Harris

JOHN C. HARRIS, age 64, of Woodbridge, VA, died on August 8, 2006 at his home. Born in Harford County, he was the son of the late Paul and Georgianna Harris. He served in the US Army for four years. Mr. Harris worked for Exxon for over 30 years in trucking, retiring as a trucking manager. He took a lot of pride in his work. After retiring, he enjoyed fishing and camping. His family said that he was very loving and meticulous.

Mr. Harris is survived by his wife, Lorraine Harris of Woodbridge, VA; four sons, John Harris, Jr., and his wife, Jackie, of Jacksonville, FL, Kevin Harris, and his wife Benzette, of Edgewood, MD, John Lemar Bowman of Woodbridge, VA and Coy Harris of Washington, DC; two daughters, Jamiila Bowman and Janine Bowman, both of Woodbridge, VA; three brothers, Richard Harris of Forest Hill, MD, Phillip Harris of Bel Air, MD and Calvin Harris of Abingdon, MD; nine sisters, Mildred Norton of Abingdon, MD, Frances Lee of Darlington, MD, Edna Harris of Abingdon, MD, Anna Davis of Abingdon, MD, Helen Waldon of Havre de Grace, MD, Janice Demby of Edgewood, MD, Vera Davis of Abingdon, MD, Thelma Coleman of Edgewood, MD and Dolores Gilbert of Baltimore, MD; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
