Joel Lloyd

February 17, 1915 — June 16, 2003

JOEL LLOYD, age 88, of Edgewood, died at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on June 16, 2003. Born in New York City, New York, he was the son of the late Arthur and Michalina Gallo Lloyd. A resident of Edgewood for 35 years, he had retired from the U.S. Army having served during WW II. He was a member of Admiriam Masonic Lodge 17 in Akron, Ohio. He was a life member of the Ex-POW’s and a member of the Edgewood Lions Club.

Mr. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 55 years, Estherlee M. Derby Lloyd; two sons, Joel A. Lloyd and his wife, Charlene Lloyd of Edgewood; Charles H. Lloyd of Edgewood; one daughter, Kathryn Lloyd-Crowley and her husband, Collin D. Crowley of Fallston; two grandchildren, Blaire C. Crowley of Fallston; and Julieann M. Lloyd of Aberdeen. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by all of his siblings, Alex Gardener; Camille Powell; and Nana Sanderson.
