Joanne M. Sexton

Joanne M. Sexton, age 73, of Bel Air, MD, died on March 31, 2011 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Fountain Green, MD, she was the daughter of the late John Stewart Mays and the late Carrie Caldwell Mays Tuck. An avid reader, she enjoyed cooking, canning apple butter, and had worked for the Federal Government as an accountant. She was an active member at Bel Forest Baptist Church and the Bel Forest Christian Academy.

Mrs. Sexton is survived by her husband of 54 years, Curtis Jack Sexton of Bel Air, MD; son, Keith Sexton of Oriental, NC; daughter, Karen Lynch and her husband, Greg, of Abingdon, MD; brother, Frank Mays of Bel Air, MD; sisters, Ruby Page of North East, MD, Edna Reeves of Darlington, MD, and Jean Reeves of Forest Hill, MD; and grandchildren, Lauren Lynch, Jason Lynch, Emily Sexton and Tony Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Rolby and Claude Mays.
