Joanne Kells Sheffy

JOANNE KELLS SHEFFY, age 65, of Bel Air, died on January 7, 2006 at the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. Born in Quakertown, PA, she was the daughter of Edward M. Kells of Pottstown, PA, and the late Pearl Agnes Stitzel Kells. A resident of Harford County since 1969, Mrs. Sheffy was retired from Mountain Christian School where she was a teacher and later principal.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 45 years, Donald H. Sheffy of Bel Air; three sons, Donald H. Sheffy, Jr., and his wife Maria Sheffy, of Plantation, FL, Douglas E. Sheffy, and his wife Paige M. Sheffy, of Abingdon, and Dennis J. Sheffy of Belcamp; one daughter, Lori J. Hoffman, and her husband Tim L. Hoffman, of Anchorage, AK; one brother David Kells; one sister, Judy Hallman, both of Pennsylvania; and six grandchildren, Shawn Sheffy, and Sabrina Sheffy, both of Plantation, FL, Rachel Hoffman, Sarah Hoffman, and Zachary Hoffman, all of Anchorage, AK, and Kendall Sheffy of Abingdon.

Pallbearers will be Steve Harden, Dan Sheffy, Charlie Hallman, Barry Hallman, David Kells, Sr., and David Kells, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be the elders of Mountain Christian Church.
