Joann Sprowls Klein

Joann Sprowls Klein, age 89, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on July 3, 2021, at her home. Born in Claysville, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Wylie and Pearl (Logue) Sprowls. She worked at Harford County Public Library for nearly 30 years. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all her heart and was happiest when they would all gather for the holiday meals she would prepare. An avid reader, she enjoyed all genres, especially mysteries. She also enjoyed and was proficient at solving puzzles of all types. She followed the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens. A dog lover, she was especially fond of German Shepherds.

Joann is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Ferdinand W Klein; her daughter, Diane Chelminiak & her husband Leszek Chelminiak; sons David Klein and Stephen Klein & his wife Sandra Klein; grandchildren, Adam & Mark Chelminiak; great grandchildren, Jack & Ben Chelminiak, and one of her 7 siblings, sister, Mary Lou Beck.

Visitation will be held under the caring guidance of the family owned and operated McComas Funeral Home, Bel Air, MD on Thursday, July 8, 2021, from 10:00 am - 11:00 am followed by services at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
