Joan Trotta

Joan Trotta, age 82, of Abingdon, Maryland passed away on May 3, 2018 at Dacota Assisted Living in Aberdeen. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of William and Naomi (Pasterfield) Blaney and wife of the late Domenic “Totsy” A. Trotta. Formerly of Baltimore City, she was an independent person who enjoyed her friends and family. She enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones and loved to dance. She worked for the MDOT/Maryland State Highway Administration for many years as an Administrative Assistant.

Mrs. Trotta is survived by her daughter, Denise A. Kirtley and husband, Kevin, of Abingdon; grandson, Damien C. Kirtley of Abingdon; granddaughter, Rachel A. Blizzard and husband, Timothy, of Abingdon; and two great-granddaughters, Avery B. Blizzard and Mya B. Blizzard.
