JOAN S. MILLER, age 72, of Magnolia, MD, died at her home and went home to be with the Lord on April 19, 2006. Born in Oaklyn, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Stewart and Caroline Elizabeth DeBaun Jennings. She was a homemaker and the Assistant Postmaster for Magnolia. She attended Philadelphia Modeling School upon graduation from high school. She also taught Sunday School. According to her family, she treasured her family, friends and pets. They said that she always put other’s needs first, despite her own needs. She enjoyed her grandchildren, and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband of 51 years, Richard Arlen Miller of Magnolia, MD; one son, Steven C. Miller, and his wife, Deborah S. Miller, of Hartley, DE; one daughter, Linda A. Miller of Magnolia, MD; one sister, Gloria J. Long of Leasuretown, NJ; and 7 grandchildren, Michael P. Miller of Johnstown, OH, Mylia A. Miller-Dixon of Perryville, MD, Adam A. Miller of Aberdeen, MD, Richard J. Miller and Angel L. Miller, both of Magnolia, MD, and Sarah E. Miller and Victoria L. Shotto, both of Hartley, DE.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one son, Richard D. Miller.
