Joan McIntyre, age 78, of Churchville, MD, died on June 6, 2009 at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Aberdeen, MD, she was the daughter of the late Hugh F. and Florence Elizabeth Sanner LaPenotiere. A lifelong resident of Harford County, she retired from the Harford County Government after 28 years of service. She had also worked for the Glen Eagles Sewing Factory, drove a school bus, and had worked in the cafeteria at Churchville Elementary. A member of the Harford County Government Retirees, she enjoyed reading and traveling.
Mrs. McIntyre is survived by her husband, Ernest Earl McIntyre of Churchville, MD; sons, Jerry B. McIntyre and his companion, Alice Beaman, of Aberdeen, MD and David A. McIntyre and his companion, Pat Stephens, of Front Royal, VA; sisters, Lorraine Sporrer of Carroll, IA and Rosemary Woodland of Baltimore, MD; two grandchildren, Jeremy Beaman and Crystal Miller and husband, Michael; three great-grandchildren, Katelynn Selchert, Marissa and Isabella Miller; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Milton Brad, Ben Ham, Donald Blackburn, Bobby Plummer, Jeremy Beaman, Terry Shipley, Blaine Plummer, and Charles Evans.
