Joan Ellen Young

Joan Ellen Young, 89 of Joppa, passed away on July 2nd, 2020 at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born June 7th, 1931 in Baltimore, Maryland. In 1954, Mrs Young married Earl Bernard Young in Baltimore, Maryland. Mrs Young worked as a cafeteria aide at Joppatowne High School before retiring to enjoy her numerous grandchildren, bus trips with the Golden Age Club as well as cruising to Hawaii and Alaska.

She is survived by her daughters Sandra D'Anna of Forest Hill, MD and Donna Thomas of Joppa, MD. Ms Young, or GGMom as she was called by family, was the proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Young as well as sisters Norma Clough and Ida Walters.
