Joan Carol Morgan, a resident of Forest Hill, MD, died at the age of 69 on August 27, 2016 at Hart Heritage Estates in Forest Hill. She was born in Baltimore, MD to Kenneth Nathan Coldren and Mary Frances Clement. She had worked at Koppers in Glen Arm and was a floral designer. She also worked as a substitute teacher for Harford County Public Schools and was a nurse's aide and home health care worker. She distributed magazines for Levy Entertainment, was a Girl Scout Leader and a member of William Watters United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She also taught Sunday school there, as well as, at First Presbyterian Church and Bel Air United Methodist Church. An avid gardener, she enjoyed sewing and was an advanced sewer. She loved animals and adored her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Marlin Larry Morgan; daughters, Holly Ann Barnard (Bob) of Towson and Karen Lynn Holt (Scott) of Glen Rock, PA; brother, Kenneth Russell Coldren of Sykesville; sister-in-law, Marie M. Riss of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, Julia M. Holt of Glen Rock, PA, Olivia R. Barnard and Alexandra H. Barnard both of Towson; nieces, Erin Williams and Lindsay Stone both of Finksburg; and nephew, Joel Riss of Seattle, WA.
