Joan Ann Smith

Joan A. Smith, age 81, of Fallston, MD passed away on March 19, 2013 at Stella Maris in Timonium, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late James Monroe and Etta Gertrude Watson Boswell. Raised in Elkridge, MD she was a 1949 graduate of Elkridge High School. She lived in Chesterfield, MO for 34 years and in 2008 she returned home to Maryland.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her sons, Dr. J. Alexander Smith of Fallston, MD and John Christopher Smith of Chicago, IL; daughter, Diane Georgieff of Rosebud, MO; sister, Vivian Tipton of Ellicott City, MD; four grandchildren, Lisa, Elizabeth, Charles and James; and three great-grandchildren, Tucker, Grayson and Charles. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Gerome Boswell and sisters, Lois Lorenz and Katherine Smith.
