JIMMY E. SMITHSON, age 53, of Abingdon, died on October 20, 2005 at his home. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late John Wynne and Marie McGinty Smithson.
Mr. Smithson had been employed as a District Manager for Linens of the Week for 10 years. He was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church.
Mr. Smithson is survived by his wife of 33 years Gay Joyce Zindel Smithson; three daughters, Michele L. Tallman, and her husband Scott M., of Oxford, PA, Kristi M. Burke, and her husband John E., of Abingdon, and Kelly A. Rent, and her husband Jason M., of Rising Sun; two brothers, John W. Smithson, and his wife Mary K., of Washington Crossing, PA, and Joseph R. Smithson of Paulsboro, NJ; his aunt, Elizabeth Fox, of Philadelphia, PA; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Joyce Zindel of National Park, NJ; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Smithson Ripper of New Town, PA, Ann Smithson Callahan of West Norriton, PA, Kate Smithson of Washington Crossing, PA, and Kathleen Smithson Cortez of Woodbury, NJ; great nephew, John Ripper of New Town, PA; and great niece, and Anna Cortez of Woodbury, NJ.
Contributions may be made to St. Margaret Catholic Church, 141 Hickory Avenue, Bel Air, MD 21014.
Pallbearers were: Scott Tallman, John Burke, Jason Rent, Dan Callahan, Ronnie DelPiano, and Mike Zindel.
