Jessie "Punk" L. Boyd

Jessie "Punk" L. Boyd, age 81, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away on August 29, 2014 at his home. Born in Virginia, he was the son of the late James Sparrel Boyd Sr. and Josie Dixon and husband of the late Ada V. Boyd. He worked as a welder for Price Brothers in Perryman and, for 16 years he drove a school bus. He loved children and enjoyed riding his bike and reading. He was a member of Upper Room Gospel Tabernacle Church.

Mr. Boyd is survived by his son James H. Boyd of Aberdeen; daughters, Denise S. Boyd-Tillman of Lost City, WV and Teresa A. Sadler of Aberdeen; sister, Jeanette Wyatt of Doran, VA; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, David L. Boyd.

Pallbearers will be Duane Strong, William Stone, William Krempel, Dennis Radigan Jr, John Belcher and Scott Cuthbert.
