Jesse Phipps ''Pa'' Lovelace

Jesse Phipps "Pa" Lovelace, age 86, of Bel Air, MD, died on June 15, 2011 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Wilco, WV, he was the son of the late Basil Edgar and Zuira Glenna Farmer Lovelace. A resident of Harford County since 1944 he worked as a cement truck driver and throughout his life enjoyed old cars. He also enjoyed collecting hats and liked to listen to Bluegrass music.

Mr. Lovelace is survived by his wife of 54 years, M. Kathy Smith Lovelace of Bel Air, MD; sons, J. Allen Lovelace and wife, Mary E. Sezer-Lovelace, of Fallston, MD and C. Gene Lovelace and wife, Leigh A., of Severn, MD; brother, Ralph Lovelace of St. Paul, NC; grandchildren, Jon A. Lovelace Sr., Kristi L. Houck, both of Bel Air, MD, and Bethanie L. Lovelace and Jacob I. Sezer, both of Fallston, MD; and one great-grandson, J.J. Lovelace of Bel Air, MD. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brothers, Edgar, Arthur, Kelly, and Fielden Lovelace and his sister, Virgie Davis.

There will also be an additional visitation at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, Independence, VA on Monday, June 20, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from 10-11 a.m. at Haw Orchard Baptist Church, Mouth of Wilson, VA. Services will be held at the church on Tuesday at 11 a.m.
