Jerry S. Dayton

Jerry S. Dayton, age 78, of Joppa, MD, passed away on November 25, 2012 at Laurelwood Nursing Home in Elkton, MD. Born in Burlington, WV, he was the son of the late Charles Edward Dayton Sr. and Sadie Esther Weese Dayton. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he retired, in 1996, from Bethlehem Steel. He loved his family with all his heart as well as his pets.

Mr. Dayton is survived by his wife, Ellen R. Arnold Dayton of Joppa, MD; sons, Dwayne Cochran of Miami, FL and Joe Cochran of NC; daughters, Joyce Popp of Joppa, MD and Debra Foley of Bel Air, MD; brother, Robert G. Dayton of Burlington, WV; and several grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Jack Cochran; daughter, Jeannie Leach; brother, Charles E. Dayton Jr.; and sister, Nancy Dayton.
