Jennie Carr Giza, age 85, of Nottingham, Maryland, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2024, at Brightview White Marsh. Born in Baltimore, Jennie was the beloved daughter of the late John Francis and Bertie (Harville) Steigerwald, and the devoted wife of the late John Joseph Giza, Jr.

Jennie was a woman of grace and charm, always meticulous about her appearance and known for her impeccable style. She carried herself with elegance, ensuring that her home was as neat and welcoming as she was. Her radiant smile and warm laugh were constants in the lives of those who knew her, embodying a sense of humor that brightened any room she entered.

In her earlier years, Jennie was an active member of the Jaycettes Club in Reisterstown, Maryland, where she cultivated many friendships. A proud graduate of Patterson High School, she always cherished her connection to the community.

Jennie was a true caregiver. Her compassion and selflessness were outstretched to multiple family members who needed a home and someone to help look out for them. She not only attended to her son, but also her late husbands, their mothers, and her own mother when they needed her. Her gift for nurturing others was a hallmark of her character.

Jennie will be deeply missed, but her legacy of kindness, love, and care will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Jennie is survived by her sons, Brian Matthew Brenner, Richard Stephen Brenner, and Gregory John Brenner; sisters, Theresa Anne Carr, and Juanita Carr Elliott; grandchildren, Stephen Michael Brenner, Rachael May Brenner, Zachary Benjamin Brenner, Molly Rae Brenner, and Brady John Brenner; and great-granddaughter, Mar May Brenner.

In addition to her husband and parents, Jennie was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Lou Carr.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The ARC of Baltimore, 7215 York Rd, Baltimore, MD 21212.
