Jeffrey Justin Jagodzinski, age 39, passed away on July 17, 2024, in Maryland. Born at Franklin Square Hospital, he was the beloved son of Jeffrey Jagodzinski and Kelli Booth Realo. In addition to his parents, Justin is survived by his brothers, Austin Jagodzinski, and Daniel Markmann; his sisters, Alexandra Markmann, and Brenna Jagodzinski; his grandmothers, Bettie Booth, and Paula Jagodzinski; and his stepparents, and many step siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Jagodzinski and Ted Booth.
Justin spent his formative years at Glenelg Country School and Mt. Saint Joseph High School. He went to work for his family’s business in the marble and tile industry. There, under the guidance of his grandfather and father, he was able to exhibit his artistic talents.
Justin’s family and friends’ comments upon his passing have helped contribute to this obituary. He is described by all as kind, fun, charming, intelligent, athletic, tall, handsome, and caring. He had so many passions. He deeply loved his family, friends, animals, and sports. He was known as Tut and #1 (grandson) to the family, nicknames given by his grandfather, Bob Jagodzinski and his grandmother, Bettie Booth. His friends referred to him as Justin or Jago.
Justin excelled as an athlete in every sport in which he participated. He was handed a ball as a baby. To everyone’s delight, he switched the ball to his left hand and threw it, marking the birth of our “lefty” pitcher. Justin played baseball his entire life. Playing for many travel teams, Mt. Saint Joseph High School, and continuing to play as an adult on “old man” leagues, competing and winning in tournaments throughout the East Coast. He also enjoyed disc golf, snowboarding, basketball and had a lot of hobbies. He loved to fish and had many top-secret fishing locations, which he only disclosed to a privileged few.
Justin had the biggest, kindest heart and gave the best, strong and loving hugs. All who were lucky enough to receive a hug from him will agree. He had the most beautiful, sweet blue eyes that were a gift to gaze into. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
Justin is now in the hands of the Lord. May his family and friends find comfort in the peace he has found.
