Jeffrey A. Barton

Jeffrey Alan Barton, age 53 died suddenly in his home in Abingdon on August 28, 2023. Jeff was predeceased by his parents Donald and Judith Barton.  He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Deborah, brother, Richard, and two sons, Adam and Dylan.

Jeff grew up in Holyoke, Massachusetts where after school he delivered newspapers on his bike and spent countless hours causing mischief with his brother.

The family moved to Lancaster County, PA where he graduated from Manheim Township High School.

His love of trains came from watching from overpasses with his late grandfather, Hubbard Ruoff in Philadelphia. He got his dream job on the rails 25 years ago and loved what he did.

Jeff loved Motorsport racing, fire trucks, The Blues Brothers, and ALL THINGS PORSCHE.

He never met a stranger and always made time for his family and friends on his “off” days.

A Celebration of Life memorial will be held in the near future.
