Jeanne M. Cross

Jeanne M. Cross, age 94, of Abingdon, MD, formerly of Bel Air, passed away on May 14, 2012 at ManorCare in Towson, MD. Born in Leonardtown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Wilmer T. and Frances Large Matthews and wife of the late Gregory Cross. Originally from St. Mary's County, she resided in Harford County for over 20 years. She worked, until the age of 78, as a Payroll Administrator for Allied Roofing Company. She was an avid reader and a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church.

Mrs. Cross is survived by her sons, Gregory C. Cross Jr. of Bermuda and Douglas M. Cross of Havre de Grace, MD; daughters, Margaret J. Hofmeister of Abingdon, MD and Jeanne F. Hill of Conowingo, MD; brother, William Charles Matthews of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Kelly, Mark, Dana, Tony III and Nicholas; and great-grandchildren, Logan, Justin and Riley. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Mary Dean.
