JEANETTE WEITZEL, age 88, of Middle Rive, formerly of Abingdon, died at the home of her daughter in Street on January 16, 2005. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Klee Noto, and the wife of the late Frank A. Weitzel. She had retired after 25 years of service with the state of Maryland Unemployment office where she worked as a claims specialist. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Baltimore and was active in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church when she lived in Abingdon. She volunteered at Lorien Riverside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She enjoyed Bingo and was an avid bowler of duck pins and ten pins. She was a member of the Senior Center in Essex and Canton and enjoyed traveling.
Mrs. Weitzel is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth L. Lazoff and her husband, Alfred H. of Middle River; Alice Siegel of Perry Hall; JoAnn Lingner of Street; one sister, Rosalie Schiminsky of Baltimore; six grandchildren, Beverly Simon of Perry Hall; Mark Lazoff of Jarrettsville; Thomas Weitzel of Sparrows Point; Robert Weitzel of White Marsh; Barbara Zimmerman of Odenton; Michael Siegel of Perry Hall; and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one son, Frank J. Weitzel.
Pallbearers will be: Mark Lazoff, Thomas Weitzel, Robert Weitzel, Michael Siegel, Joseph Simon, and Gene Royall.
