Jeanette Joyce Richards Long

Jeanette J. Long, 85, of Aberdeen, MD passed away on May 25, 2016. Born in New Martinsville, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Edith Myers Richards and Jesse Jason Richards. She is survived by her husband of 69 years Eugene V. Long; her children Gene Long (Patti), Ron Long (Phyllis), Joseph Long (Trish), Edie Sommers (Joe); seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She went to school at Old Post Road and worked for Bata Shoe Company for 25 years. She was also employed at Epsteins and K Mart. Her biggest love was family, her children and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and really had a gift for gab. She loved picking and eating crabs. She also loved anything sparkly and glittery.

A Memorial Celebration of Life will take place at a later time.
