Jay Pepe, age 50, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on March 19, 2014 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Bad Hersfeld, Germany, Jay is the son of Sgt. Major Joseph Michael Pepe (Retired) and Carol Ann O'Hare Pepe. Jay served in the U.S. Army and was employed by Comcast as an electrical engineer. Jay was a loving father, husband, son and brother. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed participating with his sons at their activities with Cub Scout Pack #830, US Taekwondo Academy and Music & Arts.
In addition to his parents, Jay is survived by his wife Lucie Pepe and sons Joey and Jake Pepe of Bel Air, sister Aleda Marie Wainright of Glen Burnie, nieces Brandy and Tara Wainright, nephews Filip and David Mrlik and Vaclav Siroky, sister-in-law Vladana Siroka, brother-in-law Daniel Mrlik and mother-in-law Marie Hranacova. He was predeceased by his sister Jonell Pepe and father-in-law Vladimir Mrlik.
In lieu of flowers, accounts have been established for the educational benefit of the children. Checks should be made payable to Lucie Pepe, Custodian for either Joseph Michael (Joey) Pepe or Jacob Reid (Jake) Pepe and mailed to P.O. Box 1801, Bel Air, MD 21014.
