Jay Brooks

Jay Brooks, age 26, of Perryville, MD, died on April 10, 2009. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of Douglas J. Brooks of Florida, and Sharon Lynn Broad Brooks of Perryville, MD. A veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, he worked in construction as an equipment operator. He enjoyed skateboarding, surfing, and snow boarding, as well as, playing guitar and drums. He was very artistic and enjoyed drawing and cooking and spending time with his daughter, Laci.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Laci N. Brooks of Abingdon, MD; brother, Charles D. Brooks of Florida; step-sister, Andrea L. Hamilton of Florida; and grandparents, Esther Mae and Thomas Broad, both of Ashtabula, OH, and Anna M. Hammer of Rising Sun, MD.
