Jarrett ''Jerry'' N. Anderson Jr.

After a full life devoted to his family and friends, service to others, and uninterrupted love and laughter, Jerry Anderson, Jr. passed away at his home on July 8th. He was 56. A lifelong resident of Harford County, he was a 1975 graduate of Edgewood High School, and was an invaluable member of Abingdon Volunteer Fire Company where he served nearly 40 years of charismatic and unforgettable service. In his professional career, he worked 20 years in Harford County's Emergency Operation Dispatch Center before continuing to serve state and local fire and law services as the founder and sole proprietor of Shoreline Emergency Vehicle Graphics.

Along the way, the excellence and pride he took in his work was surpassed only by the quality of the people he shared his life with, from those who would simply remain loyal customers to those who would go on to become lifelong friends and family members. From within his EMS circles, he met his sweetheart and bride of 25 years, the former Kelly Wartman of Fallston, MD. He and Kelly would have three beautiful and talented daughters Kelsey, Carleigh, and Camryn – all who are blessed with his charm, love for life, and compassion for others.

A man who lived with an absolute inability to offend or upset others, Jerry is survived by scores of family members and friends that also include his parents Jerry and Ruth Anderson of Abingdon; brother Steve Anderson and his sons Nick and Tyler of Virginia; sister Susan Langbeen and her husband Rob of Aberdeen, and her sons Chris Scott of Abingdon, and Mick Scott and his wife Kelly and their children stationed with the Coast Guard in Texas; and his father and mother-in-law Ron and Audrey Wartman of Fallston. He also specifically wished to include names of his extended family that he was so close to, including Mike Ulrich, James Mackenzie, and Aimee Chandler-Grebe.

Just as Jerry so loved, befriended, and lived his life to make others' feel better about theirs', he also had a special love for his time spent along Maryland's waters from the Bush River to Ocean City, and for anyone who shared his passion for automobiles. From his younger days racing along Harford County's back roads to his later years spent in Carlisle, PA car shows, behind the wheel of his beloved MOPARs, or with dear friends in the Pistons Street Rods and other classic car enthusiasts in the Lowes, Wegmans, and Dunkin' Donuts parking lots, he never outgrew his love for his toy cars.

Jerry's work on earth is complete, and he now rests in heaven where he is joyfully personalizing a special place of welcomed love and laughter for his family and friends who will miss him terribly, and will remember him with nothing but the greatest love and affection.
