Janice Carman Prather, age 62, of Las Vegas, NV, peacefully passed away on June 26, 2012 at Solari Hospice Care in Las Vegas, NV, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late O.W. Carman Jr. and Dorothy Richardson Carman. She had an incredible personality that allowed for her to make friends in an instant and took great pleasure in hosting friends and family in her home. Janice was an amazing cook whose specialty of stuffed grape leaves won raves from all. Janice was so full of life and lived every day to its full potential. Her greatest pleasure was sharing her adventures with her best friend and soul mate, Charlie.
Mrs. Prather is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Charles, of Las Vegas, NV; a son, Derrick Lloyd and his wife, Michelle, of Joppa, MD; brother Robert Carman and his wife Debbie of San Antonio, TX and sister, Deborah Ruston of Timonium; grandchildren, Christopher and Nicholas Lloyd of Edgewood, MD as well as several nieces an nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, R. Douglas Carman.
