Janet Webster Brandjes

Janet Webster Brandjes, age 84, of Abingdon, MD, died on August 1, 2010 at her home. Born in Sydney, Australia, she was the daughter of the late John Ethridge and Mary Binney Wilson, and wife of the late Albert Brandjes. She lived in England during WWII where she met her husband Albert. During that time, she also served in the WRENS (Womans Royal English Navy). She loved bowling with friends at Forest Hill Lanes and enjoyed parties and dancing. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren very much.

Mrs. Brandjes is survived by her son, Daniel Brandjes of Abingdon, MD; daughters, Yvonne Wayland of Baltimore, MD and Valerie Roberts of Abingdon, MD; brother, George Wilson of England; sisters, Dianna Gordon and Betty Somers, both of Australia; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
