Janet "Jan" Lehr was born July 11, 1937 in the small town of Alma, Michigan. She was the oldest of six children born to Ted and Ethel LeBaron. Growing up, she worked in the family's restaurant business "LeBaron's Diner" in Reed City, Michigan. Following his military service, Jan married Jim Lehr and they relocated to the Maryland area where Jim was employed as a Dept of Defense civilian. Jim's job took the couple on extended assignments in Berlin and Australia. Always active and adventurous, Jan and her husband enjoyed motorcycling, sailing and camping.
After an eight-year struggle, Jan finally succumbed to the rare brain disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.
Jan is survived by her four brothers; Ted, Ron, Larry and Richard, and her husband, Jim; three children, Daniel and wife, Sandra, April and husband, Brandon and Laura and husband, John; and nine wonderful grandchildren, Kevin and Justin Lehr, Lance and Taylor Tribiano, Taylor and Emma Moore, and Chloe, Hunter and Graydon Leed. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Judith Coon.
