Jane Delores White

Jane Delores White June 6, 1941 – September 25, 2024 Lutherville Timonium, Maryland 

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jane Delores White, age 83, on September 25, 2024, at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, she was the cherished daughter of Harry and Dorris (Keller) Wright and beloved wife of Richard White. 

A graduate of Bryn Mawr School, Jane’s journey of love began in 1959 when a blind date, orchestrated by her dear friend Betty Ann, changed her life forever. With the help of Betty Ann's father, who kindly drove them to the Senator Theatre, Jane met Dick. This serendipitous encounter marked the beginning of a beautiful 65-year partnership, characterized by unwavering devotion and shared joy. Throughout their five-year courtship, they remained each other's only love. 

Jane was a dedicated member and Eucharistic minister at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, where her faith and kindness touched many lives. She had a fulfilling career with the Harford County Government, retiring as the Manager of the Collection Department for Water and Sewer units, where her meticulous nature and strong work ethic made a lasting impact. 

In her free time, Jane found solace in knitting, creating cherished gifts for family and friends, each stitch a reflection of her love and thoughtfulness. 

Jane is remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the light she brought to those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and community that will endure in the hearts of all who knew her. 

In addition to her husband, Jane is survived by her sister, Jean Roxy Wareheim; daughters, Deborah Jane White of Tampa, FL, Karen "Kate" Lynn Thompson, and her husband Stuart of GA; grandchildren, Josh, Luke, Drew Daugherty and Kelsey White and 2 great grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held at Stella Maris Chapel, Timonium, Maryland on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Viewing will be 9:00 am - 9:30 am. Mass follows at 9:30 am. Interment will take place in Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
