LT. COL. JAMES W. CLARK, (USA Retired), age 85, of Bel Air, died in Mariner Health of Bel Air on January 21, 2005. Born in Davenport, Iowa, he was the son of the late Cyril Balfour, Jr. and Harriett Mable Lawyer Clark. He was an artillery officer in the U.S. Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict. A resident of Harford County for 47 years, he was an avid genealogist.
Mr. Clark is survived by his wife of 52 years, Vera Clark; one son, James Brock Clark of York, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Anna Catherine Breckley of Jacksonville, North Carolina; one brother, Sherrill B. Clark of Auburn, Washington; and three grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Alban’s Anglican Church Building Fund, 1011 Old Joppa Road, Joppa, Maryland 21085, or to a charity of your choice.
