James Robert Smith Jr.

JAMES ROBERT SMITH, JR., age 40, of Middle River, MD, died on November 28, 2006, at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Linda Lee Whichard Smith and the late James Robert Smith, Sr. He was a carpenter who started working in the construction industry at a very young age with his father. He was a 1984 graduate of Joppatowne High School and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sports in general. He loved all of the kids in the family.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Betty A. Sasser Smith of Middle River, MD; two sons, Jackson Wallace Smith of Abingdon, MD, and Matthew Robert Smith of Middle River, MD; two stepsons, Ernest Fowler of Lutherville, MD, and J.R. Miller of Middle River, MD; two stepdaughters, Alicia Fowler and Lindsey Miller, both of Middle River, MD; one sister, Jeanie Mae Arrison of Darlington, MD; one grandmother, Geraldine Whichard of Jarrettsville, MD; and numerous aunts and uncles.

In addition to his father, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his sister, Marcie Lee Smith.
