JAMES RICHARD PARSONS, SR., age 82, of Bel Air, MD, died on January 26, 2006 at the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. Born in Leon, WV, he was the son of the late Clinton Hilton and Pearl Ferguson Chambers Parsons. He served in the US Army during WWII, and later was a supervisor for the US Government. He lived in Harford County for 54 years. His family reported that everyone who knew him referred to him as “Granddad.”
Mr. Parsons is survived by his wife of 65 years, Geneva Eades Parsons, of Bel Air, MD; one son, James Richard Parsons, Jr., and his wife Ann L. Parsons, of Churchville, MD; one daughter, Trudy Parsons Dick, and her husband Donald Warren Dick, Jr., of Stuart, FL; two brothers, John C. Parsons of Bullhead City, AZ and Charles Parsons of Milton, WV; one sister, Eileen R. Kinder of Fayetteville WV; four grandchildren, John D. Pearce of New Vernon, NJ, Chad R. Parsons and Brooks J. Parsons, both of Edgewood, MD, and Hilary P. Dick of Philadelphia, PA; and four great-granddaughters, Ashley A. Parsons of Edgewood, MD, Janet E. Pearce and Heidi C. Pearce, both of New Vernon, NJ, and Alyssa L. Parsons of Edgewood, MD.
