James R. Travers Jr.

James R. Travers Jr., 84, of Forest Hill, MD, passed away on April 22, 2015 at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home in Charlotte Hall, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late James Reginald Travers Sr. and Sophie Augusta Kintop Senger and husband of the late Lillian "Becky" M. Travers whom he married in 1977. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked for Baltimore City Police Department as a motorcycle and horseback officer and later retired as a Baltimore County 911 dispatcher. He was a member of Christ Our King Presbyterian Church in Bel Air.

Mr. Travers is survived by his sons, Charles Travers and wife, Nancy and Russ Brocato and wife, Debbie; daughter, Penny McGovern and husband, James; sister, Lois Phillips and husband; numerous grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his sons, James H. Travers and Charles Brocato.
