James R. Hawks

James R. Hawks, age 94, of Churchville, Maryland passed away on September 5, 2018 at his home. Born in Darlington, Maryland, he was the son of Coy Houston Hawks and Mae (Thomas) Hawks. A veteran of the Army Air Force, he served his country during WW2. He was employed as a mechanical engineering technician at Aberdeen Proving Ground.

Mr. Hawks is survived by his wife, Audrey Simmons Hawks; sons, Brian Hawks and wife, Jo Marie, and Jerry Hawks and wife, Robin; grandchildren, Corey, Kyle, and Kelly; sister, Betty Moore and husband, Wayland; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Frank Hawks and his wife, Ruth, and Gene Hawks.
