James R. "Butch" Teague, age 77, of Street, Maryland passed away on August 2, 2021 at his sister's home in Street. Born in Street, Maryland, he was the son of Grant and Martha Elizabeth (Doyle) Teague. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, enlisting during the Vietnam War, serving two years with one in Vietnam. He attended Highland Elementary School and was a 1961 graduate of North Harford High School. He worked at Bata Shoe Company until 1966 before enlisting in the Army. After discharge from the Army, in 1970 he began a career with BG&E as a lineman and worked his way up to a crew leader, retiring in 2002 after 31 years of service. He loved old cars and going to car shows. He enjoyed meeting up with the BGE guys on Saturday morning at Double T Diner for breakfast, playing cards with his family, and family holiday get togethers. James had his family by his side, loving and caring for him through his battle with cancer.
James is survived by his three sisters, Nancy L. Dunaway of Street, Shirley Streett of Street, and Mary Clark of Rock Hall; two sons, James Teague and Jeffery D. Teague both of Street; three brothers, Samuel Teague of Bel Air; Paul Teague of Glen Rock, PA, and Grant Teague of Darlington; and five grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Curtis, Charles, Allen, and Roger Teague.
