James ''Pop'' Ludwig

February 14, 1941 — November 15, 2013

James "Pop" Ludwig, age 72, of Joppa, MD passed away on November 15, 2013 at his home. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late James Ignatius Ludwig Sr. and Mable Burkawski Ludwig. He was a supervisor at the Department of Water Works, where he retired from 4 years ago. Football was his passion and he was a huge Yankee fan. He loved spending time with is great grandchildren and his dog Smokie, fishing and watching NASCAR.

Mr. Ludwig is survived by his son, James I. Ludwig III and wife, Kimberly of Abingdon; daughters, Debra A. Herr and husband, Donald of Joppa and Dianna L. Buddemeyer and husband, Kirk of Belcamp; step daughters, Cheryl Durst and Cherry Wilson, both of Virginia; brothers, Bobby Ludwig of the Eastern Shore, and Charles and Carl Ludwig, both of Baltimore; best friend, Doug; 16 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; Charlotte Ludwig and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Vernon Ludwig.
