James Leroy Hawk, age 81, of Kingsville, MD died on October 20, 2016 at his home. He was born in Ava, MO to Ira Addison and Louise Bernadette (Varner) Hawk. A veteran of the U. S. Army, he worked as a civil engineer and designed many buildings in Maryland. He enjoyed taking hikes, camping on Skyline Drive and drawing. He was a member of the Christian Service Brigade for 63 years where he led bible studies.
Mr. Hawk is survived by his wife of 60 years, Peggy Joyce Hawk; his children, Dereen Lynn Houck of Red Line, PA, Diana Louise Woodin of Seattle, WA, Doretta Lee Davies of Kingsville, Douglas Lindsay Hawk of Annapolis, Delinda Louise Petrucci of Dundalk, Daniel Arthur Hawk of Parkville and David Jonathan Hawk of Annapolis; grandchildren, Brooks, Dustin, Trever, Keely, Sean, Casey, Jim, Tim, Jenny, Katie, Emily, Gabby, Cody, Randy, Rachel, Moriah, Ross, Peter, Iona, Sarah, Gwenth, Andrew, Sophia, Grace, Amelia and Samuel; great grandchildren, Regan and Spencer; and sister, Sandra Hook. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Myron Hawk.
