James LeBron King, 73, of Edgewood, MD passed away on January 16, 2016 at his home. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin King Jr. and Mabel Janet (Millwood) Hendrickson. He retired from the Independent Can Company in Belcamp after 18 years where he was a Tool & Die Maker. He also worked for J.L. Clark Manufacturing in Havre de Grace, Bendix Radio and TD Associates. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed wood working and making furniture. He was also an avid boater, fisherman and crabber.
Mr. King is survived by his wife of 25 years, Phyllis R. (Miller) King; daughter, Beverly Ann Cooney and husband, Tim, of Edgewood; stepchildren, Diane L. Rice and husband, Phillip, of Havre de Grace, Jeanette L. Goetz and husband, Todd, of Joppa and Charles W. Smith Jr. and wife, Carol, of Joppa; brother, Raymond D. King of Edgewood; grandchildren, Emily Rice, Corey Smith, Carly Smith, Gracie Goetz, Lina Goetz and Ashley Pimentel; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his stepfather, Omer S. Hendrickson.
Pallbearers will be Phillip C. Rice, Charles W. Smith Jr., Todd F. Goetz, Corey W. Smith, Bradley King and Raymond D. King. Honorary pallbearer will be Tim Cooney.
