James L. Smith

James. L. Smith, 85, of Joppa, MD, passed away on January 7, 2015 at his daughter's home. Born in Trenton, NJ, he was the son of the late Harry August and Catherine Irene Birkmire Smith. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 63 years, Charlotte D. Smith; daughter, Patricia L. Jones and husband, James F. Jones Sr. of Fallston; brother, Harry A. Smith Jr. of Washington State; grandchildren, James F. Jones Jr. and wife, Jennifer, Patrick A. Jones and wife, Ashley, Dana E. Jones and Katherine R. Bisker and husband, Jeffrey; and great-grandchildren, Ethan and Carter Jones, and Reid Jones. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Barbara C. Hunt.
