James L. "Lee" Parks Jr.

James L. "Lee" Parks Jr., age 80, of Bel Air, MD passed away on December 4, 2018 at Forest Hill Heights in Forest Hill. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of James Leo and Catherine (Heying) Parks. He served in the 135th Air National Guard for 6 years. He retired from Mazo Lerch in 1998 as an Institutional Food Sales Representative. After retirement he worked for Kunkle Auto Parts as a driver for 16 years. He loved trains, starting the Triangle Western HO Club and Mason Dixon Large Scale Train clubs. He was a founding member of the C Milton Wright Athletic Booster Club and he was a softball coach for Hickory Rec in the 1970's. He served as an election clerk at Southampton Middle School for many years. He and his wife were founding member of the Rock Spring Swim Club. Lee loved traveling with his wife and spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Parks is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Lou Catherine Parks; two daughters, Lynn Elizabeth Killeen of Basking Ridge, NJ, Christine (Vance Gregory) Marie Hobbs of Fallston; son, James (Tally) Louis Parks of Grand Rapids, MI; two granddaughters, Sidney Leigh and Kathe Alexandra Hobbs; grandson, Greyson Louis Parks; sister, Kathleen Frampton of Perry Hall; nephews, David & Donald Frampton; and many other nieces.
