James L. Emery, 84, of Kingsville, MD, and former resident of Dundalk, passed away on January 2, 2016 at his home. Born in Kingwood, WV, he was the son of the late Henry Walter Emery and Lula Mae (Bucklew) Emery. He served our country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the VFW in Edgewood and a past member of the Bel Air American Legion. He worked for Bethlehem Steel for 38 years and was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church. He enjoyed woodworking and loved taking care of his family, house and yard.
Mr. Emery is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Ann (Cramer) Emery; sons, James L. Emery Jr. and wife, Debbie, of Rising Sun, Terry Emery and wife, Judy, of White Marsh; daughters, Jo Nistico of Abingdon and Pamela Parto and husband, Michael, of Dundalk; sisters, Agnes Freeman of Pennsylvania and Nellie Mae Taylor of Ohio; grandchildren, Nicholas Emery, Albert Nistico III and wife, Leah, Andrew Nisitco and wife, Brianna, Stephanie Grimes and husband, Shawn, Jackie Harris and husband, Gus, Christopher Parto and wife, Samantha, and Courtney Parto; great grandchildren, Max Nistico, Samantha Nistico, Aaiden Nistico, Brynn Parto and Julia Nistico; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son-in-law, Albert Nistico Jr.
