JAMES KOHL, SR., age 72, of Abingdon, MD, died on February 7, 2006 at the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Kohl. For 16 years, he was a graphic artist for the Crown Cork and Seal Company, and he also worked at the Howard Brady studio. During his career, he won awards for his work at Automatic Data Processing, Inc. After retiring, he worked for Boyle Buick. His last job was at Tritronics in Abingdon, MD. He was a resident of Harford County for 45 years and loved to watch movies.
Mr. Kohl is survived by his wife of 47 years, Doris Katherine Miller Kohl; one son, James Kohl, Jr., and his wife, Sheryl, of Abingdon, MD; one daughter, Connie D. Smith, and her husband, Walter, of York, PA; two brothers, Francis Kohl, of Sarasota, FL and Joseph Kohl, of Baldwin, MD; two sisters, Madilynn Stenger of Street, MD and Ruth Kohl of Baldwin, MD; and three grandchildren, Zachary Smith, Jacqueline Smith and Brandon Smith, all of York, PA.
